THE BEAUTIFUL CANADIAN ROCKIES

Being from Calgary, I take advantage of the amazing Canadian Rockies. This weekend I was able to get out onto the mountains and do some snowboarding. Mid-lift, my instructor turned to me and said (in his Australian accent), 'you are so lucky to live in a city that is so close to these amazing mountains, it must feel great to wake up and have this view when your en route to work.' I looked around and saw how breath taking the rockies actually are. We may be jealous of the ocean side cities, but only Alberta has the 'Canadian Rockies' no where else in the world has what we have. So I've decided that I will no longer take advantage and get out onto these mountains as often as possible. Hiking, skiing, boarding, or climbing, I will be here a lot more often!
